A wonderful antique sterling silver watch chain with shield fob, dog clip and t-bar.
 
The fob is hallmarked for Birmingham 1900. The t-bar is hallmarked but with no assay office mark but it would likely be Birmingham and if so, dated at 1915. The dog clip is a later vintage addition, hallmarked but again no assay office mark but if Birmingham would be 1985.
 
Can just about make out that every link was stamped with the lion passant mark for sterling silver but most of these have worn away to almost invisible.
 
Length wise, it measures 14” to the T-bar junction, and 16” in total if you attach the dog clip to where the fob is. The jump ring attaching the fob to the chain is not soldered shut, neither are the rings to the T-bar so these could be easily removed if so desired.
