A very lovely antique silver and paste swallow brooch with a red stone eye.
 
Stamped “900” on the back for 900 fineness silver. The pin and fittings are base metal.
 
In very good antique condition. It seems that one side of the tail has broken off at some point in its life (the other side could be adapted to match by your jeweller if so desired). The stones have some minor abrasions around the table facets, visible under magnification and the silver has light antique patina.
