A great antique rolo link long chain at a fantastic price! It is constructed of rolled gold - a popular alternative to solid gold in the 19th century where thin sheets of gold were applied to base metal by rolling the sheets together in a sandwich. The gold layer is much thicker than that of gold plating.
This beautiful chain was showing some signs of wear so it has been professionally cleaned and plated to restore its gorgeous colour and shine.
It’s a great length and can be worn long or double or tripled around the neck. It is a continuous chain with no clasp.
