A fantastic and increasingly rare gold flat cut garnet necklace from the regency era, c1810-20. It may be a marriage of Georgian and late Victorian parts given the flat and rounded backs - perhaps the later parts added to replace broken sections, nevertheless still a true antique! Comes with the red leather and cream velvet fitted box which was likely made for it at a later date, end of the Victorian era.
 
In very good condition for its age but there are small abrasions and nibbles to the garnets and small dents and areas of lead solder to back. None of this detracts from its beauty and not noticeable when worn. Please don’t hesitate to ask more photos if required.
